As the first quarter of 2021 wraps up, we've taken a closer look at the performance of the top theme park applications in Latin America. Our data, sourced from Sensor Tower, reveals how these apps have fared in terms of downloads, revenue, and weekly active users. Here's a snapshot of how each app performed.
My Disney Experience saw a fluctuating trend in downloads, starting the quarter with around 3.5K and dipping to 2.6K before rising back to nearly 3K. Revenue peaked in mid-January at over $2K but ended the quarter at a lower $739. Weekly active users began at 5.6K and saw a gradual decrease to 4.4K.
Six Flags, despite having no reported revenue, experienced a significant surge in downloads, especially in mid-March, rocketing from a few hundred to over 9K. The weekly active users reflected this growth, jumping from around 12K at the start of the quarter to a high of 27K.
NBCUniversal Media's Universal Orlando Resort also reported no revenue but showed a steady increase in downloads, from 2.4K to over 2.2K, and weekly active users grew from 6.2K to 5.8K by the end of the quarter.
Disneyland® saw a modest revenue with a slight upward trend, reaching $22 by the end of Q1. Downloads began at 717 and experienced a peak of 966 in late March. Active users started at 7.9K but saw a slight decline to 6.4K.
Lastly, Play Disney Parks showed a decrease in downloads from 568 to 301 and active users from 490 to 235, with no revenue reported for the quarter.
